In a previous blog post, Olivia Stein shared a brief overview of a collaborative research project led by Free Periods Canada.
The objectives for this project included the following:
- To qualitatively and quantitatively develop an understanding of how COVID-19 has impacted the use of reusable menstrual products.
- To identify actionable steps for Aisle to further increase access to reusable menstrual products.
- To develop knowledge translation materials to bolster the knowledge of reusable menstrual product use and access.
Free Periods Canada surveyed post-secondary students across Canada and collected 470 responses and summarized those results in a report, which is now available for download here.
We hope that this report provides useful insights and recommendations, and that it can help to further the conversation of menstrual equity in Canada.
