BOOST Boxer

Where has period underwear been my whole life?? I guess it doesn’t matter now that I’ve discovered Aisle! I’m plus size and autistic, so it’s incredibly hard to find underwear that doesn’t give me sensory issues (especially on my period). These are near perfect. I bought one pair to start and used them on the first day of my period. On the second day I had to switch back to regular underwear with a disposable pad and it was such a sensory nightmare—the pad bunched up and shifted so I bled through my undies, then I grabbed a different pair only to find out the pad wouldn’t stick to the fabric—many tears and blood were shed and my only regret was not buying more Aisle.

PROS:

- The waistband is soft and stretchy while staying in place

- Tencel material is so soft

- LOVE the extra long padding front and back, it gives me so much peace of mind while sitting or sleeping

- The open gusset with pocket for a booster is genius ✨

CONS:

- Wish the rise was just a tad longer in the front to help cover my belly a bit more, but I’m 6’ tall so that probably won’t be an issue for most

- I wish the gusset part that touches my skin was pure cotton and not polyester :(

I love these! However, the liner inserts that hold "4 tampons worth" I don't believe. I actually have to wear 2 liners at once and bleed through them like crazy even on my light days when I'm not heavy causing me to change them frequently (like every hour). However, the material the actual underwear its-self is phenomenal. When it bleeds through both pads, it doesn't bleed through the underwear portion.

I cannot get over how comfy these boxers are, I was literally just kicking my feet in bed because I'm so excited to not be wearing a thick pad to bed LOL.

I saw some negative reviews about the lack of stretch in the leg seams and about how these feel like a diaper. I could not disagree more. Maybe the design has been updated since those reviews because these seems are VERY stretchy!!! And the thing I specifically love about these boxers is that I don't feel like I'm wearing a diaper whatsoever. Especially compared to other brands!!

I'm 5'9", 120lbs and my hips are 37". I got these in a size Small. They aren't too tight at all and I will definitely have room to gain weight without needing to size up because of how stretchy they are

I tried this pair for two periods and I'm honestly pretty disappointed with the absorbency given that this product is advertised as good for heavy flows. I have a moderately heavy flow on the first few days of my period. Not tsunami level heavy flows like some of my friends, just a bit heavy.

I tried this overnight on my heaviest flow day for two periods with the absorbency booster. The absorbent layers are just too thin. In the morning the booster pad AND the gusset fabric underneath was soaked, and the leakage had spread down the inner thigh section of the underwear. Luckily I slept with a towel underneath me, but the blanket on top of me got some period stains on it.

The product is comfortable, so I'll probably use it on lighter days, but I'm going to have to keep searching for a better brand for my heaviest nights.

And so grateful for these comfortable, clean, and sustainable undies! They are a huge step in pampering my powerhouse body’s monthly refresh.
